It was hard to decide what to choose as they had a lot of choice, my wife is also a very hard woman to please and I wanted to get it right.

My wife has been everywhere and seen everything, she is a fashion designer and travels all across the world and has seen every city. The thing about her also is that she loves to travel in style, whereas I am very different, I love to travel and I don’t care if it’s a five star resort or a one star hostel – I adapt for everywhere I am and am good either way, I just love being away.

In the end I opted for two tours, the first was one of the popular London to Paris Tours (check out their tours here) that they have on special offer at the moment, the tour is escorted with a professional and experienced guide who I hope will be able to win over my wife with his knowledge on all things Paris. She will also want to see a lot of the shops there and I understand that this should not be a problem as we get some time to ourselves so I am sure my credit card will take a bashing from my wife. I love her to bits but she can spend my money like its going out of fashion. One of the great things about this tour is also that they will pick you up from your London Hotel and that makes life so much easier as my navigation skills are terrible especially at 6:00AM when they will want to pick us up.

I was watching Direct.TV and turned it to my favorite mid-morning show, the “Rachel Ray Show”. She was cooking a great Mexican inspired polenta and I got inspired to cook it for my family that night. I love Rachel Ray because she always has great things to cook with easy to follow recipes to follow. They are usually things that you have around your house and things that aren’t that expensive, great if you are cooking for a family of four on a limited budget and limited time. So I tried the dish that she was cooking for my family that evening and it was a hit! It was different than the usual taco night, but I still did everything with a Mexican flair. I used the fun placemats and had chips and salsa. There was nothing left for leftovers. When your family eats everything that you make, you know that you found a hit recipe! Now, I just have to find something that good so that they aren’t disappointed the next night when dinner rolls around.
